At Clarity Menopause Clinic, we are committed to providing a professional, respectful, and efficient service for every patient. Our policies are designed to ensure the highest standard of care for all women attending our clinic. Please review the policies below prior to your first visit.

1. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We understand that life can be unpredictable and that plans sometimes need to change. We ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment.


Notice Required
We kindly request a minimum of 48 hours notice for all cancellations or rescheduling requests.

Late Cancellations & Missed Appointments
Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, or appointments not attended without prior notice, will incur a partial cancellation fee. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.


We Understand Emergencies Happen
If you have experienced a genuine emergency, please contact us as soon as possible and we will always try to accommodate your circumstances with sensitivity and discretion.

Payment is required in full at the time of your appointment.

Additional Services
Where additional investigations or procedures are recommended during your consultation, such as blood tests, AMH testing, or STI screening, these will be clearly explained and their associated costs discussed with you in advance. There are no surprise charges.


Deposits

A booking deposit may be required for certain appointments. This will be communicated to you at the time of booking and will be deducted from your consultation fee on the day.


Health Insurance
We are a private clinic and do not bill insurers directly. However, we provide full receipts for all consultations and procedures, which you can submit to your health insurer for reimbursement. Laya Healthcare and Irish Life Health now include specific menopause cover in many of their plans. We recommend contacting your insurer directly to confirm your level of cover before your appointment.

Clarity Menopause Clinic is fully committed to protecting your personal and medical information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Irish data protection law.

What Information We Collect

  • Personal details — name, date of birth, address, contact information

  • Medical and gynaecological history

  • Details of consultations, examinations, investigations, and treatments

  • Correspondence relating to your care


How We Use Your Information

Information submitted through our website contact forms or email enquiries is used solely to respond to your enquiry and arrange appropriate communication regarding our services. We do not use your information for marketing purposes without your consent. Your information may also be used for:

  • Managing your appointments and consultations

  • Maintaining accurate medical records

  • Communicating with your GP where clinically appropriate unless you request otherwise

  • Referring you to other specialists or services where needed


Who Has Access to Your Information
Your records are accessible only to the clinical team directly involved in your care. We do not share your information with third parties unless required for your care, required by law, or with your consent.


How We Store Your Information
All patient records are stored securely in compliance with GDPR requirements. Physical records are kept in a locked, secure environment. Digital records are protected by appropriate security measures. Medical records are retained in accordance with Irish medical and legal record-keeping requirements.

4. Chaperone Policy

We understand that gynaecological examinations can feel sensitive or uncomfortable for some patients. Our clinic is fully committed to ensuring every patient feels safe, respected, and at ease at all times.

 

Bringing a Chaperone

You are warmly welcome to bring a chaperone (a friend, family member, or partner) to be present during any consultation or intimate examination. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring someone with you.

 

Clinical Chaperone

Where an internal or intimate examination is required, a clinical chaperone (Nurse Alice Molloy) will be present to support both the patient and the clinician. This is standard clinical practice and ensures the highest standards of professionalism and patient dignity.

 

Your Right to Decline

You have the right to decline any examination at any time. If you feel uncomfortable at any stage of your consultation, please let the doctor or nurse know immediately.

 

Dignity and Respect

Every patient is treated with the utmost dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times. Our clinic is a safe,non-judgmental environment for all women.
